And its name is Australian Hip Hop.

Unlike certain emcees *coughCOUGHsouljaboucoughCOUGH* they know a rhythm and they know how to weave words, love music and get a message out.

Go give them a try.

Their stuff is a little hard to find but a good search on Project Playlist should set you on your way should you be interested.

"Party at My Place", "This is for You", "Headless Princess" and "Zion Bash" are pretty damn good.

Anybody else know any REAL Hip Hop Artists?

So far I know three or four worth listening to.

Go old-school DeZ!I don't know many modern 'hip-hop' groups.It's all bitches/hoes+annoying overused synth and voice changing stuff+bling+unimaginative beats.
De La Soul,Afrika Bambatta...That loveliness.

Del Tha' Funkee Homosapien, for the WIN.

The modern ones that are GOOD often complain about the famous ones for selling out =3=! Rubberoom and Atmosphere are good examples of EXCELLENT modern hip-hop arteests.

I may not listen to much hip-hop (due to MTV raping the music industry and putting a sparkly label on it)but I do fancy myself a little 'Sweatshop Union' every now and again.
