Considering Writers don't get near enough attention...

SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG. I was making sure I read through a lot of these so that I could give a proper feature with proper commentary 8D~ I AM NOT QUITE FINISHED YET, BUT I WILL BE UPDATING THIS JOURNAL EVERY TIME I READ/RE-READ TWO OR THREE MORE PIECES. Some of the ones featured are ones I had already read in the past, soh.

I also added some authors I felt should be featured.

PLEASE, IF I HAVE FEATURED YOU, GIVE A LOOK TO THE OTHER FEATURES. You don't have to comment but it is a nice courtesy to give, yeah? Writings don't get looked at on dA as much as pictures do (unless it's emo or love poems or fanfiction ): ) So please, give these scribes a round of applause for getting their stuff out there despite the tough crowd!

This was a fun little piece, and it really follows the slightly ludicrous gauken genre tradition that turns academy and school life into something out-of-the-ordinary and often a little silly.

I am a SUCKER for visual poetry, and =Elinah does such a good job with it. The poem itself has this sort of madness to it and the visual way of placing the words just adds that much more to the poem.

This is and has been my favorite piece by ~vazette for quite some time now. The atmosphere and emotions conveyed absolutely REEK of childhood memories and sorrowful nostalgia. It's bitter-sweet and fun all in one bite... kind of like a fancy gourmet tart that someone added extra whipped-cream to, in the shape of a smiley face no less.

my darlin' here gave me this to proofread... it's the prologue to our eventual piece Spider Kisses. Just as a warning, this is a VERY, VERY harsh piece of adult writing, exposing the true nastiness of rape and violence. It is very straightforward in attitude, and does a great job of working that sickening feeling of wrongness into you as you read. It's well written, but it's deffinitely a little something for those with bloodier tastes, and for those who see that this is the true face of violence, stripped of all its TV glory.

It was in my dA inbox this afternoon and I gave it a look... it's a short piece but agh, damn, it REALLY carries the sort of city-vibe that I crave in pieces. The descpritions are simple, yet vivid, and I could honestly picture people in this sort of situation in real life because, haha, I really have "been there, done that" in a way.
